Workplace Yoga
(Trauma-Informed) Workplace yoga with a mental health focus has strong evidence-base and can offer adjunct support to individual E.A.P counselling services, or as a stand-alone practice. Workplace yoga upholds holistic wellbeing by targeting stress reduction, thereby combating overwhelm and burnout.
Classes cater for all levels, and can be offered before, during or immediately after work hours. Classes are 50-minutes and offered in 6-week or 10-week blocks. All classes include deep relaxation, breath awareness and concentration development.
Yoga has many benefits, including managing stress and improving sleep. The style offered is traditional hatha yoga, it is NOT FLOW or workout focused.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga for Emergency Services 9-week Beginner Course

Encountering the emotional turbulence that comes with working at the front line of crisis response can take a toll on your wellbeing, even if its in the most subtle ways.
This course provides a space for workers and veterans either adversely impacted by vicarious trauma or seeking preventative measures to better care for themselves in crisis response.
Psychotherapist-facilitated-trauma-informed-yoga is nothing like what you think yoga is. During this course you will learn evidence-based techniques that support and regulate your nervous system, managing your stress response thereby modulating cortisol and improving your immune system. Don’t think LuLu Lemon or impossible poses, instead, this course will teach you about your nervous system, its fluctuations and how to use breath, eye movements, vagal toning and the body to bring calm and steadiness into your day-to-day
